MK2 Escort Group 4 2.0XE 16v Modern spec. Very straight and well presented car, had very little use from new (and only on tarmac), superb shell, built with a modern engine and gearbox (rather than old fashioned Pinto or the expense of a BDA) in the traditional way with the view keeping the enjoyable Escort driving characteristics

SHELL. Very straight & rust free Alloy arched, 6 linked, tall turrets, 15″ rear tubs (if you want to run 15″ wheels), transmission and exhaust tunnels, weld in seat rails, Heavy duty 4 link box’s and Watts linkage towers, chassis mounted engine etc. Fitted with a Weld in Custom Cages fully triangulated roll cage. Superb shell, all good metalwork never had replacement floor pans etc.

ENGINE. 2.0 Vauxhall 16v XE engine, Ported head, competition valves and valve springs, titanium caps, Rally cams with vernier wheels, Forge pistons, Steel rods, Polished crank, lightened flywheel, Big wing sump, Oil pump fitted with steel gear, modified relief valve and steel gasket, Running on Twin 45’s, MBE ECU and Tony Law 4 into 1 exhaust manifold.

TRANSMISSION. Quaife 60G Sequential 6 speed gear box (150 stages miles from BRAND NEW) with long gear lever and Geartronics stand alone flat shift system. Dash display, 2 piece Heavy/Duty propshaft and new Bell housing. Heavy duty clutch cover and Paddle clutch plate. Fully Floating Atlas axle with 5.1 LSD, H/duty halfshafts, Alloy hubs etc Alloy dural brace and Watts linkage fitted.

SUSPENSION AND BRAKES. Bilstein 2 1/4 adj platform struts, Rose jointed top mounts, Alloy Gp.4 front hubs,H/duty strengthened steering arms, High ratio steering rack, Elec power steering column with adjustable stat. 6 linked rear axle location/Watts linkage, Gp.4 Bilstein Coil over adj dampers. Dash adj. bias pedal box, Alloy hyd hand brake, in line brake adjuster valve, Alloy AP racing 4 pot front brake calipers with matching AP discs and bells, Vented disc braked rear axle, aeroquip lines throughout the car. DS3000 pads.

OTHER. Alloy radiator with spal fan, Oil cooler, Alloy sump guard with gearbox shield, Shaped alloy fuel tank, twin red top facet elec fuel pumps & filter king, Alloy battery tray with gel race battery, Carbon bumpers front and rear, Revolution minilite style gp.4 wheels, be spoke dash and wiring loom, carbon door cards, New extinguishers fitted 2018, New Sabelt harness’s fitted 2018, Motordrive Carbon Kevlar lightweight seats, suede steering wheel and suede dash top, elec heated windscreen etc. etc. MSA logbook , MOT and V5C.

A nice way into a decent modern Escort but without having to go for a 70k plus s/hand car with Tractive and Millington etc.
